In this typical implementation Chatty Apps asks the user for inputs for a complex calculation, uploads the inputs into the Google spreadsheet via Web Services, the spreadsheet does a recalculation, and Chatty Apps downloads the results and presents them in the mobile device. If user has to change a calculation, they can simply change the formulas in the spreadsheet. This is the future of mobile apps which will leverage thousands of existing and proven back office applications residing behind the firewall and part of the existing IT ecosystem that has evolved over the past few decades. Challenge

 Sanofi-Aventis wanted to come up with a mobile solution to increase productivity and operational efficiency.  In the pharmaceutical business, time is money.  In order to have the desired impact on existing customers, and to attract new customers, Sanofi-Aventis had to innovate quickly. They also needed something that could integrate with their existing software, namely the Intuit Health Portal and SAP.  The CIO was looking for something that could be powerful, cost-effective, and rapidly developed.

Solution

Global Bank of Panama Case Study

Global Bank started operations in 1994.  It was originally conceived as a purely corporate bank, however, due to the considerable growth of the early years and the vision of being a major player in Panama’s financial sector, in 1999 they acquired 100% equity interest of Colabanco, becoming the first banking group that started the bank mergers and acquisitions in Panama.

At present, with only 18 years of operation, they are the second largest Panamanian private bank in capital asset size and branch network.

Challenge

The Global Bank of Panama hoped to create a car loan process application for their customers. The bank planned a country-wide rollout of their loan process application across Blackberry, Android, iPhone and mobile web devices.

The solutions had to incorporate key features of the existing loan process system without disruption of service and unreasonable costs. As a global bank, changes to the internal infrastructure required innovative solution and integration tests.

Especially in finance, security is key. So the solution they were looking for had to place security as one of its top priorities.

Solution
